Art Director


The Art Director is a “do-er” who is creative, a visual storyteller and has a willingness to learn on the job as we explore new approaches. They will primarily work on prospective and client RFP’s, provide on-set art direction, and will also contribute creative support to internal online and social initiatives.


  • Concept innovative visual content for eCommerce and marketing while remaining true to the brand strategy and identity of each client
  • Develop and execute original concepts for client content (emails, homepages, landing pages, point-of-purchase, display, press kits, invitations, and related collateral)
  • Researching superior and brand appropriate images/motion content and offering creative input on web and social initiatives.
  • Designing brand books and style guides, creating mood boards, lighting go-bys and providing on-set art direction to photographer and crew.
  • Works closely with client’s internal creative teams.
  • This role works in collaboration with and reports to the Creative Director


  • 3 + years of experience working in the expanded field of graphic design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Excellent skills in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Lightroom, and Keynote, HTML and CSS; After Effects and Font Lab are advantageous
  • Experience in design, execution and direction of diverse projects: print, environmental, and digital
  • Demonstrated on-set shoot experience for still life, on-figure photography and video
  • Must be resourceful, diligent, with attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects both daily and long-term, adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and communicate throughout the process
  • Must like to seize opportunity – you are a do-er, you take initiative, are a proactive problem solver and see challenges as part of the creative process
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Understand that building relationships is the foundation of success with team members and clients, with strong communication, and negotiation skills with a commitment to high quality work
  • Understand feedback is part of the process when working through revisions.
  • Have a love for lifestyle, fashion and beauty – it’s the core of what we do.
  • Experience with animation, illustration, photography, and video is a plus.
  • Relationships with a range of photographers and video contributors to bring fresh talent to our creative pool
  • Bonus points if you can write copy!
