Assistant Producer


The Assistant Producer will provide assistance to the Production team, either under direct supervision of a Producer, or working independently on tasks.




Production Assistance: 

  • Assist the Producer in maintaining the project integrity for the clients
  • Serves as additional point of contact for client
  • Attends client meetings and pre-production meetings with the Producer, or in place of Producer
  • Coordinate freelancers – books talent and models in conjunction with the Producer
  • Assist overseeing production by working with project personnel (i.e. photographer, stylist, retoucher, assistants) to realize the client’s goals
  • Data Entry into tracker (inputting shot list and job information, updating photographer’s shot images into tracker daily, creating final shot list, indicating deliver date and method into tracker)
  • Creation and distribution of shot lists and merchandise tags
  • Oversee file trafficking & QC prior delivery – troubleshoot discrepancies and update shot lists or file tracker
  • Provide on-set back up for the Producer
  • Assist on model castings – collecting model cards, recording attendance, creating contact sheets, organizes galleries and tracking imagery on the server
  • Arrange for catering for shootings & meetings
  • Attend to client’s and crew’s needs during production
  • Handle various administrative tasks such as digital correspondence, digital filing, and trafficking requests from clients
  • Performs other duties as needed and directed

Merchandise Management: 

  • Work closely with the client’s sample coordinator to ensure that all needed merchandise is available for Sandbox Creative Team
  • Ensure merchandise control from the client’s turn-in process through the shoot and back to the client
  • Act as a liaison between the studio and the client, communicating when items are missing or with any questions
  • Attend turn-in meetings to document all styling guidelines and merchant photography requests
  • Coordinate and track the shipping and receiving of merchandise via messengers
  • Check in the received merchandise against the shot list
  • Organize the merchandise into racks to be shot on each set
  • Keep track of inventory used for each project by maintaining tracker database and generate inventory reports
  • Coordinate and traffic merchandise (storing, staging, transport) between different projects
  • Provide styling and prepping assistance during photo shoots for fashion and still life photography when necessary
  • Prepare, pack and ship out merchandise that is to be used in photography
  • Ensure the security of merchandise
  • Coordinate extra help when needed



  • 2 years college at an accredited university 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in Production or a similar industry
  • Detail oriented, organized, able to manage multiple projects
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to changing conditions 

  • Ability to work under pressure in deadline-driven environment 

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail 

  • Ability to prioritize/multi-task and follow projects through to completion 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills 

  • Team player 

  • Excellent people skills 

  • Knowledge of MS Office 

  • Intermediate understanding of Excel 

  • MAC proficient
