Director of Visual Storytelling & Media (Sr. Preditor)


The Director of Visual Storytelling and Media (Sr. Preditor) is responsible for creating awareness of CreativeDrive and positioning it as a leader and resource for the marketing, advertising and creative communities as well as various industries.  This will be done via inbound marketing strategy through the development of engaging online content for social media and content series for YouTube and our online media hub. This person sets the tone, editorial direction and ensures every content is consistent with CreativeDrive’s brand’s voice, content strategy and business objectives. This person also represents the company at social and business events and new business pitches.  In 2018, CreativeDrive will build global awareness for itself through various tactics which include defining, talking about and highlighting the things their consumers care about across content creation, technology, marketing, culture and creators.


Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Visual Storytelling and Media is a dynamic content leader who will transform and lead CreativeDrive’s innovative content created by ourselves or for our clients across our web, social, online media hub and other distribution channels. 



  • Develop and implement strategic vision and multiplatform go-to market plans for CreativeDrive’s content hub.
  • Create content strategies and ideate and create various series for key marquee events, partnerships and influencers.
  • Create buzz and excitement in targeted industries about CreativeDrive’s new solutions.
  • Lead development of planned content series and real-time content creationfor social, live streamed events and future media hub.
  • Lead and train a team of permanent and freelance editors, video directors and photographers. 
  • Collaborate with CMO and Content strategist to develop the editorial calendar which will inform:
    • Brainstorm content ideas to publish, where to publish, and when to publish; including backup content
    • Assign each piece of content to be created
    • Develop or oversee each piece of content based on the publication schedule
    • Give go or no-go decision
    • Develop content briefs and templates for other offices or crowdsourced video journalists to follow
  • Create growth initiatives and partnerships that build distribution for our premium content across a multichannel network spanning, web, app, social, syndication, connected devices and beyond.
  • Drive engaging and innovative content that resonates for public relations, events, promotions and other marketing initiatives that build brand momentum with consumer audiences, marketers, advertisers, digital media, and key business leaders from our brands’ targets.


  • 10+ years professional experience in developing and producing digital and video content
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media strategies and best practices
  • Proven content leadership track record building digital audiences in marketing, lifestyle and creative categories.
  • Significant experience managing and training junior team of writers, videographers, social media team, and other digital content creators. Proven ability to give feedback and develop talent.
  • Experience developing, pitching, producing and selling video series for web, digital syndication and/or TV.
  • Creative, insightful and collaborative leader who brings entrepreneurial energy to existing and new business opportunities.
  • Great communicator and leader in all settings -- with your team, clients, and executives.
  • Experience managing department operations, inclusive of strategy, talent, and budgets.
  • Deep understanding of multichannel digital media landscape, challenges, and opportunities for expansion and growth within entertainment, lifestyle and leisure categories.
  • Deep understanding of building a media hub and content series
  • Background in Sales, marketing, promotions, events and/or public relations
