    Hospitality and Catering Manager

     

    The Hospitality and Catering Manager will oversee and manage catering and hospitality functions for Dune Studios. This person will be responsible for training and managing catering staff and baristas as well as overseeing catering operations including, but not limited to, ordering of crew/client meals, monitoring necessary inventory levels, and maintaining vendor relationships with appropriate suppliers and purveyors. This person must be extremely customer-service oriented, ensuring that every single guest receives an exceptional client experience from the minute they are welcomed into the studio.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead catering and hospitality operations working closely with the Studio director, overseeing the Dune coffee bar as well as catering needs throughout the studio
    • Manage and train team to ensure all clients and guests are greeted with friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers by learning their names and favorite drinks
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures to ensure Dune is providing top-notch catering services and hospitality to its clients/guests in all areas throughout the studio and coffee bar
    • Oversee and manage team to set up the front of house display areas as per Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure an attractive presentation at all times
    • Create weekly staffing schedule based on booking needs
    • Oversee completion and accuracy of timesheets.  – organize and lead team meetings and challenges. Oversee delivery studio crew meals; menus as needed
    • Ensure that all customers are satisfied, dealing with special requests, issues and complaints as they arise.
    • Advise the caterer of any recommendations to style of service, menus, etc to ensure that the departments operation stays competitive and modern in its approach.
    • Order/Receive/track/distribute craft service, coffee & beverage supplies: replenish as needed including service utensils, crockery and equipment
    • Keep supply cabinets and closets neat and organized
    • Maintain relationships with vendors related to the general operations of the catering department
    • Organize and copy receipts and invoices of catering expenses.
    • Special projects as requested
    • Other responsibilities as directed by Studio Director
    • Maintain/oversee inventory and product ordering as needed for the Dune coffee bar/studio space

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years in the catering and/or hospitality industry
    • Previous experience in management role within the hospitality, food/beverage or catering field
    • Excellent people skills; Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage a customer service oriented team
    • Ability to work special events, weekends, evenings and overtime if required
    • Familiarity with commercial photography studio or related business
    • Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects a once while maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
