    Photographer

     

    The Photographer is responsible for taking full creative and production responsibility for all on-figure and tabletop ecommerce photography and editorial photography for the assigned client. This role is expected to produce quality images within the parameters of the shoot and maintain creative standards, while executing appropriate creative freedom to drive the Clients brand direction.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and execute photography in studio
    • Work closely with the crew and client to produce high quality imagery
    • Responsible for interpreting the needs of the client
    • Collaborate on the daily workflow and shoot schedule
    • Maintain a complete understanding of all photography situations including and not limited to: on-figure fashion and tabletop product photography
    • Responsible for the final image in its entirety (lighting, styling, cleanliness, compositions, etc.), collaborating with the crew and retouchers to maintain the creative integrity of the output
    • Determine lighting requirements, composition, background, props and product set up as well as any additional specifications to ensure quality shooting
    • Maintain the studio photo guide. Collaborate with the client to determine the specifications for new products. Ensure the teams follows accordingly
    • Able to lead the crew on set (i.e., stylists and assistants)
    • Support recruitment and training of new operators. Continue to develop the team’s shooting skills
    • Maintenance of photography equipment
    • Support the Production Manager in various functions for a successful studio and creative output

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years experience with studio photography (fashion and ecommerce experience)
    • A commercial photography portfolio that demonstrates expertise in applied techniques and working knowledge of digital photography, lighting, composition and color quality
    • Extensive knowledge of Canon Camera systems
    • Experience with studio lighting systems
    • Proficient in Mac platform
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Capture One Pro
    • Professional attitude on set and in front of clients
    • Excellent organizational skills
